After a heated debate in the Knesset's regular committee, it was decided that it could establish a Knesset committee to discuss Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's request for immunity from the Knesset, if and when he decides. It was also determined that the decision of the regulating committee is subject to the approval of Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein.

At the beginning of the discussion, Likud MK MK Mickey Zohar demanded a decision on the establishment of a Knesset committee to discuss granting immunity to Netanyahu, if it is submitted to the "Consensus Committee" in which MK Yuli Edelstein, MK Avi Nisnakorn White), and MK Zohar, and not the Regulatory Committee. "I oppose the intention of Blue and White to produce a parliamentary platform for the establishment of a Knesset committee without the approval of the consent committee," he said.

The Chairman of the Regulatory Committee, MK Avi Nissenkorn, said: "There is no intention of establishing the Knesset committee today. We just want to make sure the cat does not keep the cream. "He cannot hold a stick on either end. Therefore, if he asks for immunity, the regulatory committee will convene and decide whether to set up a Knesset committee. There will be no situation that Miki Zohar as Likud chairman will prevent this debate."

During the hearing, Nissenkorn kept Zohar away, and in protest of that, other MKs from the right-wing bloc followed him. Before his release, Zohar attacked Nissenkorn: "You cannot be a single ruler of the house. The debate will not end here but will go to court. It will not happen. You are trying to make a political move during a transition Knesset that has been dispersed and lost public confidence. "
