The Ministry of Culture announced the winners of the 2019 State Encouragement Prize in the fields of literature, arts, criticism, studies, and translation.
The writer Ismail Khalaf Khalaf won in the field of literature and plastic artist Mohamed Ramiz Haj Hussein in the arts and Dr. Shaher Ismail Shaher in criticism, studies and translation.
For each of the three winners, an amount of five hundred thousand Syrian pounds and a commemorative medal with its innocence are granted, provided that the winners are celebrated and awards are given at a date to be determined later.
It is noteworthy that the award was created by a legislative decree in 2012 that included five annual sessions, during which he honored 13 Syrian creators.
