Golden Gate develops new system cloud platform to reduce RISC form processing time by nearly 70%

The MTR Sandy Central Project and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Project were previously reported to have lost multiple "Inspection and Measurement Application Forms" (RISC Forms), causing social controversy. In order to improve the RISC form extension problem, Golden Gate Construction has developed an electronic system "Inspecto" earlier. Through the application of blockchain technology, it uses the cloud platform to process form modification and express delivery procedures, which reduces the process time by 68% and strengthens security. . The new system has been applied to 16 sites in the Golden Gate building, including the West Kowloon Cultural District.

Golden Gate has previously developed the cloud collaboration platform "Inspecto", which can cover the entire "Inspection and Measurement Application Form" (RISC Form) execution process. Engineering personnel can submit RISC forms on the platform electronically, and all stakeholders of the project, including contractors, consultants, customers, etc., can monitor the site conditions through the platform. In addition, the platform uses blockchain technology, and it is difficult for others to modify the content of the form by adding a unique code to each form. In addition, the forms submitted to the platform are stored in multiple servers worldwide and can be verified through encryption. Helps eliminate hackers.

Reduced processing time to 4.5 days

Golden Gate Senior Project Manager Yang Weilun said that processing RISC forms electronically can avoid errors in the delivery process, and engineering personnel can also operate in real time, approve forms in real time, and speed up the processing time. He said that in the past, it took about 14 days to submit the form manually, and the new system could shorten the time to 4.5 days. Mo Jianhong, senior manager of Golden Gate Construction, said that the system has been applied to 16 sites, including two sites in the West Kowloon Cultural District, and believes that the system can rebuild trust between various stakeholders.

Lithium-ion battery device replaces diesel to generate electricity

In addition, Gammon Construction and Ampd Energy, a science and technology innovation company, have jointly developed a lithium-ion battery-powered device, a “clean energy cabinet,” to replace existing diesel generators that are powered on site. The "net energy cabinet" is smaller than general containers, and contains 105 lithium-ion batteries, which can be recharged and used to power various appliances in the site, such as building elevators and cranes. Wang Min, manager of Digital G, a subsidiary of Golden Gate Construction, said that diesel generators emit black smoke and serious noise problems, and they need to be continuously operated without power supply. Conversely, the "net energy cabinet" can be charged during use, low noise, and can reduce carbon dioxide emissions. He continued that although the cost of the "net energy cabinet" is about 1 million yuan, which is higher than the 600,000 to 800,000 diesel engines, the monthly electricity cost is only about 4,000 yuan, which is far lower than the 30,000 yuan monthly diesel fee. . At present, there are two machines in operation, and their operation will be observed again before launch.

Invest about 5 million yuan to install solar panels

In response to the government's on-grid tariff policy, CLP installed solar power at two sites earlier, and installed 624 solar panels on the rooftop of the Golden Gate Science and Technology Park Building in Tseung Kwan O Industrial Village. The device can output 276 MWh of electricity each year, which is equivalent to the annual power consumption of 60 households. The device is also connected to a real-time monitoring system that can monitor the use of each solar panel. Xie Zhixuan, senior environmental manager of Golden Gate Construction, said that the current annual electricity bill is 250,000 yuan, and the estimated amount of solar power sold is 1 million yuan, which can save about 750,000 yuan in disguise. As for the investment amount of about 4 million to 5 million yuan, the payback period is expected to be about 5 to 6 years.
