Peskov: Russian-American relations are in deep crisis

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that relations between Russia and the United States are going through a major crisis, ruling that the recent visit of Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Washington will change the situation for the better.

"In our bilateral relations, we are going through a deep crisis and even a visit by a veteran minister like Lavrov can not change the approach and change everything for the better, and I do not think that has happened," Peskov said during today's interview on the first Russian channel.

Lavrov had a visit to Washington on the tenth of this month and met his American counterpart Mike Pompeo and US President Donald Trump.
