The new right, meanwhile, is preparing for an independent run in the upcoming elections: Chairman of the "new right," Defense Minister Naftali Bennett, announced Sunday the opening of a national commander to the party ranks. The goal: opening the ranks and expanding the party's field activities.
The "New Right" party, formed about a year ago in the 2019 elections, is preparing for an independent run in the election campaign and is working on a number of lines of action. In the coming days, the party's headquarters will be set up and first conferences scheduled, while at the same time Minister Bennett began to formulate the campaign staff and key messages.

The move comes on the back of reports of an initiative to hold joint primaries of all religious Zionist parties, as published last week in Israel Today. According to last week's "Israel Today" poll, "right-wing parties" without the new right (the Jewish Home and the National Union) are not expected to pass the blocking election in the March 2020 elections.
Opening the census is another step in institutionalizing the new right as an independent party, with formal mechanisms and institutions. The functionaries will pay an annual fee of NIS 60 and, accordingly, receive a functional certificate that will give them official membership in the movement.
Chairman of the "New Right", Defense Minister Naftali Bennett: "I invite all the people of Israel to take part in the gospel of the" New Right "- a state right that believes in close Judaism, human elections and a firm security policy alongside maintaining the territories of Israel. He wanted this election with all his might, with the aim of saving precious votes for the right-wing bloc and finally forming a government. A party commander is another stage in making the party a rising power in Israeli politics, and other surprises are also expected. "
