Testimony to the accident said he saw the suspect Tariq Kurd traveling at speeding • In his investigation, Kurd admitted that he had traveled swiftly to examine the new vehicle he had bought • In light of the testimony and findings, he is now suspected of committing the dead with ease • The suspect will be held in house arrest and the indictment will be filed soon

About two weeks after the fatal accident on Highway 433, new findings reveal that Tareq Kurd, the suspected driver of the accident, was traveling at a whopping 170 mph and speeding. He is suspected of traveling at that speed to test new vehicles he purchased and even admitted himself to his investigation.

An IPS man who witnessed an accident in which Tzipi Rimal and her baby daughter Noam were seriously injured and a human being, father of 12-year-old Ephraim and son Itai, told police that he had seen from the guard post all the events that led to the accident, saying that Kurd was traveling extremely fast.

Kurd was first questioned at the police station yesterday after being released from the hospital where he has been hospitalized since the accident. In his interrogation, he connected himself to the accident. If initially he was charged with negligence on the part of the police as the investigation progressed and the evidence strengthened as to how he was traveling that night, the police changed the offense attributed to Kurd.

Now, in light of the new findings and the IPS man's testimony, Kurd is now suspicious of the perpetrator's offense. He will be in custody in Issawiya and the indictment against him will probably be filed soon.
