The Cabinet agreed to grant the Syrian Foundation for Trade an initial advance of one billion pounds to support the marketing and rental of olive oil from farmers, to provide it in its halls with appropriate quantities and prices, and to sell it in installments for state workers.

He also agreed to grant the General Organization for Insurance and Pensions a financial advance of 22 billion and 424 million pounds to disburse pensions and increase for the military retirees, their families, the civilian retirees and their heirs for January 2020.

In continuation of the implementation of the plan aimed at the good management of oil derivatives, controlling their use and distribution, and limiting smuggling and trading, the Cabinet agreed to move to the implementation of the GPS system to follow public transport mechanisms that work on gasoline and diesel-taxi, the mechanisms of transporting goods and vehicles to transport oil derivatives and transporting people - where they are Obtaining oil derivatives according to the distance covered, and the need for fuel to travel this distance.

The Council also approved, in its weekly session today, headed by Eng. Imad Khamis, the Prime Minister, on a strategy to convert public transportation mechanisms working on gasoline to work on natural gas, where the practical mechanism and economic feasibility study for this project will be started with the participation of the ministries of oil, local administration, transport, industry, communications, interior and the Planning and International Cooperation Authority And universities in line with the development priorities imposed by the war.

The Council discussed the abuses that occurred in the Ministry of Transport related to committing a number of violations from some of those in the aviation sector that led to waste of public money. Accordingly, the Council mandated the Ministry of Justice and the Central Authority for Oversight and Inspection to conduct immediate investigations in this matter and hold accountable those responsible for the loss of public money.

The Council also discussed a draft child protection law prepared by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor with the aim of providing a better environment for the protection and care of children and addressing the negative effects imposed by the war on their educational, cultural, health and social rights.

The Council adopted the “National Encryption Policy” prepared by the Ministry of Communications with the aim of protecting information and data at the national and personal levels, setting controls while preserving or transmitting them over the network, and providing a safe environment for providing electronic services from public agencies.

The Council asked the ministries to prepare a clear methodology for classifying information with public agencies according to their importance and in accordance with the right to access the information.
