Western foreign maid suspected of drying clothes

At about 12 noon today (15th), an unexpected tragedy occurred at a unit at 43-47 Third Street, Hong Kong Island West. A 48-year-old foreign domestic helper suspected that she had stumbled and fell while drying her shirt. Police said that a security report had been received from the building on the site, suspecting that someone had fallen from a height.

Officers arrived at the scene and the foreign woman who fell to the building was certified dead at the scene. Initial investigations believed that she fell accidentally and fell when she was drying clothes in a unit on the site. There was no suspicious incident. The cause of death of the deceased was to be determined after an autopsy, and her employer was notified.
