Roy Jorgen Svenningsen, an 84-year-old Canadian runner, has become the oldest person to complete the ice marathon in Antarctica. Svenningsen took 11 hours, 41 minutes and 58 seconds and has completed more than 50 marathons. The winner of the race, the American William Hafferty, reached the finish line in 3 hours, 34 minutes and 12 seconds.
