What do you see? Notice the picture in front of you. There are pink lines that run from both sides in depth and meet in the center. Along the picture, the lines cut two turquoise stripes. Look directly at the two bars and try to decide whether they are straight or crooked.

Seemingly, the lines appear to be curved in the center of the image, but this is not the case and in fact it is an optical illusion that results from the way our brain processes images.

The human brain has certain patterns of thinking and behavior that can sometimes be misled. That is, while we do see turquoise lines as good with the sensors in our eyes, the brain itself does not interpret it that way because of its relation to space and its expectations of a definite form of our reality.

Such illusions are very familiar in the optical field and are divided into several types. The most well-known of them is an illusion created by the failure of the brain to process alternating shapes, colors, or lines, or the alternation of light or very dark colors. When an excessive irritation is created on the brain or eyes, a wrong image can be obtained in the brain - and thus we see a particular object differently from its correct shape or color.
