Michal Berson was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Isaac Spiro has lived his entire life in Chicago, USA. So what are the chances of both of them falling in love and getting married, and more specifically in Israel?

Michal from Australia and Isaac from Chicago grew up in different places, but with a shared desire to make aliyah and enlist in the IDF. When they were both 18, they made this significant decision, and came to Israel as part of the program for individual "soul-soul" soldiers and IDF Friends organization (FIDF) The "Soul in the Soul" organization is responsible for bringing Jews from around the world to Israel, including, among other things, escorting and assisting individual soldiers.

Michal and Yitzhak met for the first time in preparation for their arrival in Israel, and both were adopted at Kibbutz Barot Yitzhak in the center of the country. They enlisted in the IDF as individual soldiers and both came to a paramedics course. He served in the Kfir Brigade's Battalion and was a volunteer in a scout camp. The medics course experiences and similar role brought them even closer, and a relationship was formed.

A few months ago, after their release, Isaac proposed to a marriage container, and she immediately agreed. Last Thursday, Michal and Isaac held their wedding in the same kibbutz that adopted them, Kibbutz Barot Yitzhak, along with their close friends, adoptive families and kibbutz members.

Rabbi Yehoshua Fess, soul director general: "More than 3,200 couples have been married since they immigrated to Israel through the soul in the holiday atmosphere, wish Michal and Isaac that their home will be full of light and that they will always remember the miracle called Israel."
