London-SANA: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson pledged today to complete the exit from the European Union as soon as possible

London-Sana

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson pledged today to complete the exit from the European Union as soon as possible and increase funding for the state-run National Health Authority.

According to Reuters, Johnson said as he received new members of the House of Commons who won elections last week for his Conservative Party that he "will lead the government of the people and will be at the discretion of the voters by achieving exit from the European Union."

After the Conservative Party won a large majority in last Thursday's elections, Johnson will seek to speed up the parliament’s approval to withdraw from the European bloc and then start allocating funds for health, education and the police.

A source at Johnson's official residence said: "These elections and the new generation of members of parliament who came from pro-Labor towns that have turned into support for the Conservative Party will help change our political life for the better."

The British government will return the European Union exit bill to Parliament next Friday, but it is not yet clear whether a vote will be held on it because that requires the approval of the new speaker of the House of Commons.
