Manulife appoints Dai Mingjun to take over as Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong and Macau effective January of next year

Manulife (0945) announced the appointment of Daimen Green as Chief Administrative Officer of Hong Kong and Macau operations to replace Guy Mills, who will retire at the end of the year. The appointment will begin on January 1 next year.

Manulife (0945) announced the appointment of Daimen Green as the chief administrative director of its Hong Kong and Macau operations to replace Guy Mills who retired at the end of the year. The appointment will take effect from January 1 next year.

The current CEO Wan Shijia will be the chairman of the board

Manulife said that Dai Mingjun was appointed as the chief executive director of Manulife Life Insurance (International) to lead the business development of Hong Kong and Macau. Dai Mingjun was formerly the chief strategy and innovation director of Manulife Asia, and a member of the executive committee of Manulife Asia's business department. He will continue to report to Anil Wadhwani, the CEO of Manulife Asia. As for the incumbent Wanshijia of Hong Kong and Macau, he will serve as the chairman of the board of directors of the company ’s Hong Kong and Macau business and serve as a senior consultant of Hua Kangyao after his retirement.

According to information, Dai Mingjun joined Manulife in December last year and has assisted Manulife Japan and Hong Kong in formulating new business strategies in the past year, and through setting up a new implementation and governance structure to accelerate customer experience and electronic innovation. He has previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Life's South Korean and Australian branches, and Chief Executive Officer of AIA (1299) Australian Branch.
