The days of Syrian Plastic Art for the year 2019, held by the Ministry of Culture under the title "Memory of Creativity", were launched in Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts today.
Six of the plastic artists who were distinguished by their creative creators, Abdullah Al-Sayed, Ghassan Jadid, Ghassan Nana'a, were also honored, in addition to the late artists Abdel-Qader Arnaout, Iqbal Qarsali and Ghassan Al-Sebaei.
Information Minister Emad Sarah pointed out that this event is a challenge at a time when terrorism and its supporters are trying to spread the culture of death to harm Syria with all its social, cultural and economic components. We say through this event and others that our project is life and the colors that plastic artists use .. colors that express The life we want is full of hope.
The honored artist, the sculptor, the master who accomplished many sculptures, including the statue of Salahuddin Al Ayyubi and the Noah Damascene ship, he said, “Honor means that our works that we presented during the years of our artistic life are greatly appreciated, and although my work was hard and tired as a sculptor, I presented many sculptures to my country, including the Abu statue Tamam was destroyed by terrorism as part of his attempts to destroy beauty and history.
The honored artist Nanaa said, "Honoring the artist in his life is a recognition of the value of what he has provided to his country through his long artistic career. Today, he honors with me important names of artists who deserve honor for their rich artistic experiences during their years of life."
The sculptor, Adel Khader, who executed three metal medals for the late honored artists that their relatives received during the honor, explained that these honorees are from the old generation of Syrian plastic artists and made great efforts in establishing the Syrian artistic movement and influenced generations of Syrian artists.
Within the days of the Syrian plastic arts, the annual autumn exhibition, the Arabic calligraphy and ceramics exhibition, photography, the post-pioneers exhibition in the Syrian plastic art, and several art exhibitions in various governorates, workshops and seminars are held in public and private art galleries, colleges of fine arts, institutes and art centers.
