Obama: There is no argument that women are better than men

At a conference in Singapore, Obama said women are not perfect, but "there is no argument that they are better" than men. He said most of the world's problems are caused by older people, usually men, who hold positions of power. He also talked about political polarization and the use of social networks to spread lies.
Speaking at a private conference on leadership, the former Democratic president said that during his tenure, he thought about what a women-led world would look like. "I am absolutely certain that if for two years, if every country on earth were women-led, you would see significant improvement in every aspect."
Asked if he would ever consider returning to politics, Obama said he believed leaders should step aside in due course. "If you look at the world and look at its problems, usually old people don't turn the road." He said, "It is important that political leaders try to remind themselves that they are there to do the job, but not for life. You are not there to promote your self-importance or your strength."
Since leaving the White House in 2017, after two terms, Obama has been promoting young leadership with his wife Michelle worldwide. The couple was at an Obama Foundation event in the Malaysian capital last week.
