Senate Democrat leader Chuck Schumer sent a letter to Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Monday suggesting that a series of White House officials testify at the impeachment trial of U.S. President Donald Trump, which is due next year.

Former national security adviser John Bolton, current White House faculty member, Mike Mulvaney, Mulvaney's adviser Robert Blair and another budgeting officer, Michelle Dupay, are among the personalities guarded.

A guard sent the letter to the senior Republican who said last week that, in coordination with the White House, he raised the possibility of having a shortened impeachment trial for the president, to be conducted without witnesses.

Trump is expected to become the third president in American history this week in the impeachment process that began against him, the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives will vote on his ouster following his part in the Ukraine-Gate affair. This was after approval of the indictments against him by the trial committee last week.

After the expected vote in the House of Representatives, the vote will pass to the Republican-controlled Senate. The clauses against Trump are abusing his authority and disrupting congressional interrogation in his relations with Ukraine by allegedly asking President Volodymyr Zalanski to launch an investigation against Joe Biden, a leading Democratic presidential candidate and his son Hunter Businessman.

In his letter, the Senate also asked the Senate to provide a "limited set of documents" in favor of the trial, which he said would shed light on Trump's decision to delay $ 391 million in security aid for Kiev, which Trump allegedly held to exert the same pressure on Ukraine to act against his political rivals .
