Two bicyclists aged 40 were killed this morning (Monday) from a vehicle hit on Route 5511 near the Hadarim interchange in Sharon. An MDA team arriving at the scene provided medical treatment to the two, and after resuscitation attempts ruled their death. A sympathetic MDA paramedic Bain said that "When we arrived on the scene, the sight was very difficult. We saw two pairs of disassembled bicycles on the road, and a private squashed vehicle. On the road, two 40-year-old men lay with a very severe systemic injury. We gave them medical treatment and after resuscitation attempts we had to determine their deaths. The driver of a 29-year-old man was treated at the scene. "
