Today, the Directorate of Water Resources in Lattakia Governorate began installing two diesel generators with a capacity of 1500 KVA for each generator with a tension of 6.3 KVA to ensure the continuity of the work of the pumping groups on the second traction line to the city of Lattakia.

The Director of Water Resources, Eng. Nabil Hassan Lassana, stated that the two generators will be connected in parallel to operate three pumping groups on the second traction line in order to provide an abundance of 3400 cubic meters per hour of drinking water in the event of a power outage.

Engineer Hassan pointed out that the number of groups on the second traction line is four groups in which there is one former generator that contributes to operating one pumping group in abundance of 1100 cubic meters-hour.

Hassan stressed that the installation and operation of the new generators will ensure the operation of all four pumping groups on the second traction line, and it is expected that the two generators will be tried two weeks from now.

The Director of Water Resources pointed out that today the second traction line was separated for a temporary period in coordination with the Water Corporation administration in order to complete the required work and restart the four pumping groups on the second traction line after the completion of connecting the new generators to the network bars.
