Damascus and Moscow State University of Technology “Stankin” signed a scientific cooperation agreement in the field of developing academic and cultural research, holding joint scientific seminars and programs, exchanging experiences and visiting professors and students.

After signing the agreement in Moscow with the President of the “Stankin University” Dr. Yelena Gurgevna Katayeva, according to a statement from the University of Damascus, Sana received a copy today from Damascus University President, Dr. Muhammad Maher Qabagibi. He hoped that the scientific and academic cooperation between the two universities will rise to the level of strong, advanced friendship between The two friendly countries.

During his visit to Moscow last week, Dr. Qabagibi reviewed the scientific specializations at "Stankin" University for the first university and postgraduate studies, and the pavilions of the sixth Russian National Education and Industrial Exhibition Expo 2019.

He also discussed with Dr. Andrei Volkov, President of the Moscow State University of Building Engineering the mechanisms for activating the agreement signed between the two sides and familiarized with the experience of the tunnel tunnel laboratory for building testing, while his meeting with Dr. Alexander Tarasov, Vice President of the University of Scientific Research "Moscow Institute of Energy Engineering focused on strengthening the mechanisms of joint scientific and academic cooperation The latter expressed his appreciation to the Syrian graduates from the Moscow Institute of Energy Engineering.

It is noteworthy that 19 Russian public universities, including "Stankin University" participated in a scientific exhibition at the University of Damascus on the thirtieth of last September with the aim of introducing the educational system in Russia and the specializations in its educational institutions in addition to offering free grants offered by the Russian government to foreign students.
