The inauguration of the Workers Life Library in the Oncology Pavilion at Tishreen University Hospital is the culmination of the second and final stage of the (Mena and Vienna) project launched by the International Chamber of Boys in Lattakia last September with the efforts of a large number of volunteer youth and in partnership with a large number of NGOs and institutions Government aims to network with one another and expand its scope of work in a way that serves the community.
The library includes a variety of stories, synthetic toys, coloring books and drawing pens. There is also a variety of interactive games and musical instruments available in the entertainment corner that provide a special floor equipped to protect children from shocks and are equipped with seats for their seating.
Nour Daly, Project Manager (Mina and Fina) mentioned to the Sana Youth Bulletin that the library supplies and entertainment corner were secured from the proceeds of the charity carnival cards that were held in Al-Orouba Park earlier and said: “We hope, as volunteer youth, to reach our humanitarian goals through this place hoping to alleviate pain Children with cancer and support their treatment process, if we take into consideration the great role that the psychological state plays in helping children resist and endure to recovery.
Daly pointed out that the educational games in the library will contribute to developing awareness of injured children, expanding their perceptions and compensating for a few of what they missed due to dropping out of their schools and being in the center to receive doses.
Ereijan stressed the importance of strategic partnerships for the team’s work, especially when the goals it works on are similar to other teams, foremost of which is providing a comfortable environment for cancer children and caring for their health and talents.
