(CNN Business) - For the first time a celebrity will give voice to Alexa, Amazon's virtual assistant, and the feature is now available. It is someone you will recognize immediately. The owners of the Echo device can now add the voice of actor Samuel L Jackson to help them with some tasks.
This feature, which was first announced last September, costs 99 cents. Jackson's voice "will add some fun and entertainment to his Alexa experience," Amazon said.

Now, Jackson's voice will not be available for everything Alexa says or does, but it can announce the weather, respond to requests to play music or tell you more about the actor's historical career, among other actions. Oh, and fans can hear Jackson insult with an "explicit language" filter that can be turned on or off.
Users can ask Alexa to wake them up at a certain time or sing happy birthday to them, and Samuel L Jackson's voice will too. Amazon notes that Jackson "will not be able to help with purchases, lists, reminders or skills."

To configure it, you must tell the device: "Alexa, introduce me to Samuel L Jackson." There will be a voicemail to confirm the purchase price of 99 cents, and then it will be activated. It can also be purchased online.
Amazon joins Google to add some of the celebrities' energy to their voice devices. Google Assistant users can add actress Issa Rae and singer John Legend to Nest.
