Preparation works for the second production line are continuing in the Sweida shoe factory, in preparation for taking off the line and putting it into service early next year.
The Deputy Minister of Industry, Dr. Jamal Al-Omar, confirmed during the visit today to the factory with a number of stakeholders to find out about the preparations of the line in a press statement, the ministry’s interest and follow-up of all industrial establishments, including the shoe factory in Sweden and work to restart the second line in it to reach its full production capacity and develop its product in a way that supports the industry National.
General Manager of the General Company for Shoe Industry, Eng. Mohamed Khair Rifai, pointed out that the second production line went out of service before 2005 to introduce his machines and based on the directions of the Ministry of Industry and the company's plans, work was done during this year to equip him with the necessary machines after maintenance of the old and re-run it with the efforts of technicians and workers in the factory and supplied With new machines, it is expected to complete the procedures of importing and installing them by the end of the year and the beginning of next year, which will contribute to the manufacture of new shoes and achieve high economic rentals for the company.
The director of the shoe factory in Sweida, Eng. Amal Noman, reviewed the measures taken to give more space in the production hall, ease of movement, rearranging the machines in the production departments, putting old and rehabilitated ones on production lines and distributing workers at the production stages.
The shoe factory took off in the city of Suwayda in 1978, and its production volume from the beginning of this year until the beginning of this month reached 138,300 pairs out of the annual production plan of 152,000 pairs, with a profit value of 150 million pounds, according to those responsible for it.
