Here you will find the most important news of the day, the most popular stories from SPIEGEL + and tips for your evening.

The theme of the day: comeback of "Star Wars"

Chewbacca, R2-D2 and of course the Jedi fighter Rey: With these stimulus words everyone knows what it is about: "Star Wars"! On Wednesday it will be time in Germany, too, when "The Rise of Skywalker" starts in cinemas, 42 years after the first film of the saga that director George Lucas invented. The film had its world premiere in Hollywood, and stars such as Harrison Ford and Daisy Ridley were celebrated at the famous Chinese Theater.

Experts predict the rise of Skywalkers for the starting weekend of revenues of $ 200 to 225 million (179 to 224 million euros). He would be one of the most successful in film history.

For Disney, the new episode is further proof of its power in the entertainment industry. The film studio has never been so dominant.

The last chapter of the legendary series is again directed by JJ Abrams. What the film is about will be kept top secret in Germany until tomorrow morning. My colleague Hannah Pilarzyk has already speculated what the Star Warriors fans could expect.
