Space: 123 sqm on one floor with garden

It is impossible not to dazzle with the open view of the field and the grove of trees seen through the inviting windows of a small private house at the edge of the settlement of Egypt. The pastoral environment is like a nature picture that decorates the house and influences its calm nature. Architect Inbal Argov, owner of camayofi studio, designed and designed the space for the mother and daughter who sought the right connection between the house and the garden surrounding it.

"During the design stages of the house, it was of central importance to integrate the natural landscape and the garden and to emphasize their presence in the house as well. Wide windows were designed in all rooms to give the garden a sense of going in and having a strong presence in the living environment," Argov explained.

The occupant's dream was that her home would have a light blue kitchen with open space that could be accommodated by friends. The kitchen has been designed as the most spacious space in the house, with a direct connection to the balcony. In the center was a dining table made by a carpenter and a bench, as part of the free atmosphere of the house. Above the table were hung orange lighting fixtures that function like jewelery that radiate warm light, and two wooden beams were placed on the ceiling to add warm touches. In addition, a small work area with two chairs and a fine lighting has been designed. The living room was designed in small sizes, as an intimate and enveloping space, with a niche for sitting on the window and an option to sit next to the fireplace.

To maintain the privacy of the tenants, a small kingdom was designed for each other in a different area of the house, which includes a bedroom and a bathroom. The old tenant's favorite wooden desk was placed in the workspace which also serves as a commander, and to balance the massive table, light metal shelves were used as a library.

When choosing finishing materials for the home, emphasis was placed on natural materials that bring warmth, combined with light color stains - to create an atmosphere of freedom and openness. "Terrazzo tiles were once paved in the central spaces, oak parquet was installed in the bedrooms and the bathroom was designed in a continuum for the entire home style, in light azure shades," Argov continues.

"The guest services were painted with concrete tiles, and in all the bathrooms, a handmade clay sink was placed. Following the selection of the blue windows, the house was painted in light blue, according to the landlord's taste. Designs that come back in many items at home. "

According to the architect, the entire house was designed in accordance with the special character of the tenant, who wanted to create a liberated atmosphere together with a protected cover and home heat. "The combination of the spacious, open space of the kitchen with the sheltered living space, along with the combination of warm natural wood and light paint stains, were the tools to create the ambiance they wanted."
