Impeachment Procedure: The House of Representatives is convening a historic hearing at this time, and for the third time only in U.S. history, a presidential candidate for impeachment. It should be noted that a congressional impeachment does not mean banning Donald Trump from the White House, but rather passing the findings of the Congressional Intelligence Committee to the Senate, where he will run a trial against the president - and only if he is convicted by a two-thirds majority, then Trump will be ousted.

The House of Representatives, the lower house in the US Congress, is expected to pass the impeachment decision, which is based on two sections relating to the "Ukraine Gate", largely because the House is controlled by the Democratic majority. In contrast, the Senate, the Supreme House in Congress, is unlikely to lead to the ouster of the president, due to the Republican majority in it.

This is only the third time a presidential candidate has been ousted in the House of Representatives. The first time occurred in 1868 with President Andrew Johnson and this time Hania happened in 1998 when the person in charge was then-President Bill Clinton, when in both cases the presidents won the Senate. Another case stood out in American history in 1974, when President Richard Nixon resigned after the Watergate affair exploded, and before his lawsuits matured in Congress.

President Trump is facing two counts of impeachment. The first of the two is abuse of power - Democrats say Trump has prevented US $ 391 million in military aid to Ukraine as part of the president's attempt to pressure Kiev and leverage political investigations into Trump, especially against Joe Biden, Democrat's leading challenger Party leader for the U.S. presidential election in November of next year, and his son Hunter. And the second item addressed against Trump is disruption of Congress's good work.

The likelihood of the decision being passed this evening in the House of Representatives and in fact passing the proceeding to the Senate impeachment trial is high. Democrats enjoy a solid majority of 233 House members compared to only 197 Republicans, and no special majority is required to approve the resolution.
In the Senate the situation is different. Republicans enjoy a 53-vote majority against 47 Democrats in the Supreme House, and for the Senate's impeachment approval, a two-thirds majority, or 67 Senate supporters, are needed to oust the president. For the Senate to have such a majority, at least 20 Republican senators will have to cross the line, voting for President Trump's ouster.
