Twenty-three UN ambassadors arrived on a tour of Samaria last Friday. This is the first time UN ambassadors are officially visiting the region.
The tour took place as part of the Samaritan Regional Council's Foreign Relations Unit, assisted and led by the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon.
The ambassadors met with Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, visited a factory in the Barkan industrial area and met with Palestinian and Israeli workers.
Sven Alkalay, the ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina at the UN, said: "We have seen Arab-Israeli co-existence in factories, and we think this is a very important project. Buying these products will give you a chance for peace.
Danny Danon, the Israeli ambassador to the UN, said that "the visit helps us to present the truth about Israel."
