Ayelet Shaked rejected an offer from Avigdor Lieberman to join Israel in our home, "Israel Today" found out.
A few weeks ago, even before the dissolution of the 22nd Knesset, Avigdor Lieberman and Ayelet Shaked often met. An open channel was maintained between the two, as Shaked tried to persuade Lieberman to join the right-wing Haredi government without success.
"Today Israel" learned that during one of the talks, Lieberman proposed to Shaked to join his party. He explained that joining it would be a touch of a Zionist, liberal secular party. In response, Shaked immediately rejected the proposal.
Last week, Lieberman was asked by "Israel Today" whether he proposed to Shaked to join the party and whether he could share the public with the rumors surrounding the contacts with her. Lieberman then replied that "there are many rumors. You cannot answer every rumor. You cannot answer something that does not exist. There is no combination of Ayelet Shaked at least as far as I know.
