40 Israelis were detained Wednesday in Moscow's Demodovo Airport, now the Israeli Foreign Office is working with the Russian Foreign Ministry to understand what this is supposed to be. Citizens' passports were taken and individual questionnaires were made for each of the passengers.
The Foreign Ministry says that there has recently been a change in Russian policy vis-à-vis travelers arriving in Israel. In addition, the Foreign Ministry said that working with the Russian Foreign Ministry to clarify the issue, it is clear that the interests of both countries that the entry of citizens from both countries will remain valid. The Foreign Ministry also reports that tourists and Israeli businessmen can continue to enter Russia, as it has so far. This is especially so when it is clear that the two countries share a common interest in encouraging mutual tourism and bilateral trade relations.
