The Egged Traffic Committee, which is affiliated with the Forces Workers Union, will suspend all Egged Transport's lines for four hours tomorrow from 5:00 to 9:00 AM. Among the disabled lines are all public transport to Netanya and Maale Adumim, many lines in Jerusalem and transport from the capital to Mevasseret Zion.
The strike was made possible after the Jerusalem Labor Court, headed by Judge Goldenberg, rejected the management's motion for injunction. The drivers committee protests procrastination on the part of the company's management in negotiations that last about eight years and management's refusal to improve the conditions of employment.

Raid Mashaal, chairman of the company's drivers committee: "What is this about? The drivers of the company are risking their lives daily, exposed to daily stones being thrown at the top of Red Mountains, attacked by settlers in certain localities. All we require is a basic risk addition!
The drivers committee chairman explained that all past attempts to bridge the gaps have not borne fruit. "Over the past few months, the workers' committee has been trying to bridge the existing gaps, but the company's management is refusing to move forward. At the management's request, the workers' committee canceled a planned strike on December 4, after progress was promised by the management, but this was in vain. "
The workers 'committee also claims that management's attempt to damage the workers' organization, ie placing a scandalous demand to reduce the number of delegates from only 10 to 3, is a requirement that is prohibited from interfering with employee representative affairs. "For years, we knew that Egged Traffic maintained a fair and equitable relationship between employee representatives and company management. Unfortunately, the new management aims to hurt the elected representatives of employees, ignore workers' needs and lead unilateral moves over their heads. What have they achieved? We call on management to get back together and return to a fruitful negotiations with the workers' committee.
