Former Knesset member Geula Cohen passed away tonight at the age of 94. Cohen served for 20 years in the Knesset in the Likud faction and the Resistance faction. She also served as Deputy Minister of Science.

Her name became known as a fighter in the Lehi underground when she was the announcer of the secret broadcasting station. Banned by the British police during one of the broadcasts, sentenced to seven years in prison, and made a daring escape from prison to return to the underground ranks.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was eulogized and said: "The voice of Geula Cohen will not be silenced. We will always cherish the great memory of Israel's freedom and dedication and love for the Land of Israel. It belongs to the generation of the Nephilim and will always remain a role model to us, who continue its path."

"Sarah and I are mourning Zahi and Randy and the entire family of Redemption, and together with the entire House of Israel, for the great loss," the Prime Minister added.
