A fatal traffic accident occurred on Fanling Highway yesterday (18th), causing 6 deaths and 39 injuries. The incident shocked the society of Hong Kong. Following the grief and sadness expressed by the China Liaison Office yesterday, the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong also issued a statement today (19th), wishing the deceased to rest in peace.

Xie Feng, special agent of the Commissioner's Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong, sent a letter of condolences to the Chief Executive, Lin Zhengyue, on the traffic accident yesterday. The letter stated that KMB was surprised to learn that KMB's loss of control on the Fanling Highway led to a serious car accident that caused serious casualties.
