Syria reiterated its categorical rejection of the policies and plans promoted by the head of the Turkish regime to establish a "safe area" in the northeast of Syria and the deportation of refugees to it.
An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants said in a statement to SANA in response to the statements of the President of the Turkish regime Erdogan before the International Refugee Forum in Geneva: Again, Erdogan is trying to use international platforms to promote his suspicious plans about what he calls the alleged "safe area" and use the issue of the return of refugees as an excuse to exclude One million Syrians to the occupied areas in the northeast of Syria as part of a process of forcible expulsion and mass deportation of the residents of those areas and the replacement of others.
And the source added: Despite the false mask of humanity that Erdogan is trying to use to solicit international support for his illegal proposals and his malicious agendas on Syrian soil, his demand to steal Syrian oil resources and use them to finance his deviant plans revealed his true intentions and actions based on occupation, aggression and violation of international law.
The source emphasized that the open-door policy that Erdogan referred to in his speech to the International Refugee Forum was in fact only a revolving door policy that Erdogan used to introduce thousands of foreign terrorists to Syria and arm and finance them and to push Syrians in return for forced displacement across the border to escape terrorist crimes supported by the Turkish regime As a prelude to exploiting the refugee issue later as a blackmail and commodity card to bargain on political and financial gains he seeks to obtain from his partners in plotting against Syria, pointing out that this same section preceded Erdogan using it to smuggle Syrian oil and sell it in Turkey in collusion with Nzimi "Daesh" Front victory and terrorists.

The source pointed out that Syria calls on the United Nations and the High Commissioner for Refugees to take a clear position on these Turkish plans and policies that constitute grave breaches of the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter and the legal obligations of Turkey as a party to international agreements including the 1951 Refugee Convention.
The source concluded his statement that Syria reaffirms that it will spare no effort to defend its people, sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of the attacks, ambitions and crimes of the Turkish regime against the Syrian people.
