On the occasion of Christmas, the light of a Christmas tree was celebrated in the city of Hama in the Old Church Square in the Orthodox Archdiocese of Hama.

In statements to the SANA reporter, Archbishop of Hama, Metropolitan Nicola Baalbaki expressed his hope that the birthdays of this year will be good seasons, joy and a victorious victory for Syria, its army and its people over terrorism. The sacrifices and heroism of the Syrian Arab Army, the steadfastness of the nation’s people and its wise leadership.

A number of participants expressed their hope that this Christmas will be a blink of joy that brings all Syrians of all walks of life together and that the new year carries safety and peace for all the country.
