Bolivian President Evo Morales announced that the United States of America did not want to see Bolivia as a developed and independent country, revealing that Washington had asked him, before the coup of the opposition backed by it, to cut ties with countries that oppose its policies such as Iran, Cuba and Venezuela.

"The United States and the opposition have clung to lies, media propaganda and deception to organize the coup against his government and democracy in Bolivia, describing" the Organization of American States, which is under the hegemony of Washington, as a "tool of domination and coup and does not respect national sovereignty and democracy," Morales said, in exchange with the Intercept website.

"We were looking for diplomatic relations on the basis of mutual respect with all countries and when the American ambassador came to see me for the first time he told me you can establish relations with any country except for Cuba, Venezuela and Iran ... so I told him that we are an independent country and we decide with whom to build our relations."

Morales noted the US dissatisfaction with the lack of participation of American factories in lithium extraction bids in Bolivia, saying that Washington cannot accept that a Bolivian person is able to set prices for the entire global lithium market without its intervention.

Morales pointed out that the United States' public blessing of the coup and its support for the interim coup government is evidence of its role in it.

It is noteworthy that the recent coup prepared by the United States in Bolivia and carried out under the slogans of human rights and democracy that it uses to mislead the American and international public opinion and cover up for its crimes, shows Washington's insistence on completely placing its hand on the Bolivian natural resources at any cost, which was not possible to reach in The shadow of the administration of the legitimate president Morales.
