Saturday morning will mark the first day of winter, according to the calendar, as December 21 is now the winter solstice in the northern half of the earth. The weather in Israel does not exactly align with the calendar and the weekend will be sunny, warm and pleasant for trips and activities outside the home. It does not seem to rain in the coming days.
Tomorrow, Friday the weather will be hot and dry throughout the day when the north wind blows east, but at night it will be cold. On Saturday morning the warm and dry weather will continue but there will be a slight drop in temperature and humidity, especially along the coastal plain and lowlands.

Sunday, the first Chanukah candle, the weather will remain warm and dry during the day and cool throughout the night and on Monday there will be a slight increase in temperatures mainly in the center of the country and the south.
The weather will take a turn on Tuesday, the first day of Chanukah vacation (Christmas Eve), when a significant rainfall system enters our area and will be here for several days. However, it is still difficult to estimate the amount of rainfall the winter system will bring.
For those of us who want to spend Chanukah overseas, the weather in Europe is already reminiscent of a true winter: the temperatures in Western European capitals are approaching 0. For example, in London it is rainy for episodes with a temp between 10-6 degrees, in rainy Paris (11-7), in Berlin very cold during the day and night (6-4), in Amsterdam occasional rainfall (9-6).
The United States is also preparing for Christmas, and as always there is the expectation of snow on Christmas Day. Currently, in New York very cold in the evening and night, however, the likelihood of snow is very weak in the Big Apple region, as is the case in Washington, DC. In Los Angeles, it will be hard to see Santa Claus coming in through the chimneys when the weather in Christmas is expected to be warm and sunny as usual, and in Miami temperatures will be summertime, with a little expectation of rain. Australia is still recovering from the recently broken heat peaks and temperatures are returning to normal.
