Three people were killed and several others were injured in a shooting incident in the Russian capital, Moscow, after apparently one or several armed men opened machine guns fire near the Federal Security Service in central Moscow.

Russian newspaper Isabastia reported that several people were seen fleeing the scene of the incident and that security forces were pursuing a chase that included an exchange of gunfire with attackers near the Lubyanka building, not far from the Kremlin.

A Reuters reporter who arrived at the scene reported that five ambulances had left the scene and that many armed forces had flowed into the scene. Police closed several streets and several metro stations in the vicinity of the incident.

A video distributed on social networks in the country shows miraculous people as military-clad men storm with guns drawn on Moscow's main streets. The background to the event is unclear.
