Atlanta (CNN Business) - Carnival Glory and Carnival Legend collided this Friday morning while they were in the port of Cozumel, Mexico, leaving an injured passenger.

The video of an eyewitness of the sequels shows that a part of the Carnival Glory deck was crushed after the accident.

"We are assessing the damage, but there are no problems affecting the navigability of any of the ships," Carnival Cruises told CNN in a statement.

Carnival (CCL) describes the incident as an alision (an alision is a nautical term used to describe when a moving ship collides with a stationary ship) between the two ships; the Carnival Glory was "maneuvering to dock" and hit the Carnival Legend, which was already docked.

The company says a passenger suffered a minor injury when the guests were evacuated from the dining room on decks 3 and 4, according to the company.

It does not seem that the itinerary of any of the cruise ships is affected by the accident, since Carnival says they have told guests to enjoy their day on land.

"The crash was not so bad," Carnival Legend passenger Mary Anne McKinley told CNN. "I just felt like a big wave crashed into the ship."

Maddison Haynes, a Carnival Glory passenger described the crash in a similar way.

"Last night we experienced an important movement on the ship, so this morning we assumed that something similar was happening," Haynes told CNN. "We feel a jolt and really don't think about anything."

McKinley says an ad on board after the accident said the currents caused the incident. Carnival Glory passenger Maddison Haynes told CNN that an announcement aboard the ship said strong winds were a factor.
