Tartous - SANA
A celebration of Christmas was held in the village of Dahr Safra in Tartous Governorate, which included lighting a tree, a cave, and wishes for joy and peace to reign in all parts of Syria.
Father Habib Daniel, pastor of St. George Church, said: “We wish our country safety, stability and joy because it always deserves the most beautiful.” Pointing out that the tree symbolizes life, peace and cave indicates the humility and simplicity that Christ lived and called for.
The people of the village expressed their wishes for the holiday, as both Rita Wassouf and Bashar Ashi expressed their hope that the birth would bring joy and peace to every Syrian house.
The lighting of the tree and the cave left a special effect in the hearts of the children who rushed to take pictures with their families, waiting impatiently for Santa to carry gifts to them, as the child George Bechara said, while the child Rita Jarrah found an opportunity to take a picture in front of the Christmas tree with its lights and beautiful decoration.
