Camp leaders must accept union with Jewish power - especially when they do not hesitate to join the Arab parties on the left. • The road to 61 long now • Interpretation

Immediately after the Sabbath, it became clear that some of Rabbi Rafi Peretz's friends in the Jewish home were dissatisfied with the procedure under which a member of Jewish Power was involved, and we organized for a quick protest meeting from which the news of the uprising would emerge. Naftali Bennett's years of party leadership have somewhat neglected the fact that this is a party that eats no less than the Labor Party, whose real draws are strands of local businessmen who find it difficult to see the general happenings, to the horizon beyond the local council they serve.

Rabbi Peretz may not have followed the order in the party rules, but the connection between the Jewish home and Jewish power, such as the one that is to come later with the National Union, is not a sufficient condition for the right-wing victory, but it is a necessary condition.

Since the campaign phase of the 2019 elections, there has been no poll - including the results of the Truth and the most recent polls - in which Gush succeeded in obtaining 61 seats that would guarantee right-wing rule for a few more years. The estimates of the possibility of this happening are rather slim. Netanyahu needs to reinvent himself - a simple task for whoever was prime minister for the past decade.

So as far as the right is concerned, the fight this time is more difficult and fateful than ever. Escape and internal quarrels are the surest recipe for handing power to the left with almost no fight. The 2019 A elections were decided at the forefront of 1,400 votes missing from the new right.

In the elections that will affect not only Netanyahu's political future, but the state of the country for the next few years, all relevant actors were expected to rise slightly above the pangs of aversion that they felt to digest such an extreme group as Jewish power. They need to understand the other side will not hesitate to go with the major enemies of the state from the Arab parties to replace the government, if they can.

Now we have to see how Bezalel Smutrich's National Union Chairman, probably hurt by the surprising move of Rabbi Peretz and Itamar Ben-Gvir. Those who humiliated him: The Likud-led Likud battle is too much for the faltering bloc, and further internal wars will decide the campaign long before the polls open.
