(CNN Spanish) - Bolivian former president Evo Morales announced this Saturday on Twitter that he called a meeting for this December 29 in Buenos Aires to the 9 leaders of his party, the Movement To Socialism (MAS), with the objective
of choosing their candidates for the next elections in Bolivia.

We convened the leaders of the MAS of the 9 departments to a meeting on December 29 in Buenos Aires, to evaluate and organize the great meeting where we will choose our candidates for the next elections.

The announcement comes days after the Bolivian Legislative Assembly appointed the 6 members of the new Supreme Electoral Tribunal. From that moment, a period of 10 days began to call new general elections and present the electoral calendar that will define the date and day of elections in 2020.
