Screams, aggressive and threatening attitudes, offensive words and jerks: thus two teachers of a kindergarten in the province of Udine would have treated the children. The two were suspended for 8 months from teaching on charges of mistreatment of children at the end of an investigation by the Udine mobile team, coordinated by the prosecutor. The policemen collected various testimonies and also the images in which the teachers who mistreated the children would be seen.
From the investigations it emerged in some cases the teachers would have tugged and struck the head of the children, while at least in one case a child would have been grabbed by an ear and tugged for a few meters. On other occasions the children were debased, humiliated and mocked in front of their classmates because of how they had done their homework or getting dirty. Attitudes of irritation would also have been assumed towards some foreign children who, probably because of linguistic difficulties, did not understand the provisions.
In the classroom, according to the findings of the police, this would have created an atmosphere of mortification and humiliation. The elements gathered led the investigating judge of the Udine court to issue, at the request of the public prosecutor, an application order for the measure of suspension from teaching for 8 months.
