A citizen called to call MDA said that "there is a fatal accident here, I think with fatalities." He elaborated that "there are trapped inside the car, they can not get out, they were literally swallowed under the truck."

The driver of the truck said the shuttle was coming at a very high speed and came in from behind. Police took evidence from him but did not delay him for questioning. The deputies, who were blocked after the accident, opened to traffic. Israeli police examiners have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. Heavy traffic loads are felt instead.

MDA medic Cecilia Levits, who was called to the scene, said: "This is a very serious car accident. The commercial vehicle carrying several passengers was trapped under the back of the truck and the fire fighters rescued the eight injured. Together with other large forces of MDA, we performed medical examinations for the wounded who suffered injuries of varying degrees, six wounded to the Sheba hospitals in Tel Hashomer and two more treated in the area.
