Ministry of Culture and Sport will establish an international center for Druze heritage for the first time: The ministry has approved a budget of approximately NIS 30 million for the Druze Heritage Council in Israel to establish a Druze Heritage Center, which will operate for the first time in Israel with national funding.

The move was made possible thanks to cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Sport and the Ministry of Finance. Upon receiving approval of the budget allocated by the ministry, the Druze Heritage Council in Israel began to promote a tender to locate an operational contractor, which will implement the plans for establishing the unique center, which will be the first of its kind in Israel and probably in the entire world. The new center will be set up by the state and under the law and will be the official national center for Druze heritage in Israel and abroad.

The Druze Heritage Research Institute will be set up at the center, which will work to deepen knowledge on Druze heritage, history and culture. The Institute will also operate a research and reference library. A museum will also be set up to show visitors a collection of historical exhibits from the Druze heritage, and will also conduct educational and informational activities on the unique Druze heritage. Next to the museum will be an archive for heritage documentation and preservation, which will be part of the state archive. Artists' galleries will be set up in the center of the center, which will encourage creators and creators of the community to expand the audience to more audiences.

Cultural gem on 13 acres

The center, which will be set up on the site of the Yanuah Jat Local Council in the Western Galilee and spans 13 dunams, is expected to be a cultural gem that will attract many visitors from Israel and abroad.

Minister of Culture and Sport, Brigadier General (Res.) Miri Regev: "I am delighted to welcome the establishment of the National Druze Heritage Center, the first with national funding. I am sure that the establishment of the Heritage Center will symbolize the affinity and alliance shared between us and our Druze brothers for all generations to come. "

Attorney Mahmoud Shanan, director of the Druze Heritage Center in Israel, said of the decision to establish the center: "Evidence of the importance of the community in Israeli society".
