Naama Issachar's family intends to appeal the court's decision not to release her, her attorney said Tuesday. According to them, the family intends to appeal to another court and appeal simultaneously to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

Tomorrow, a meeting between Naama Issachar's mother, Yaffe, and attorney Vadim Klugbant is expected to continue legal proceedings in Russia and Europe. Naama's Israeli attorney in Israel, Alexei Kolbanko told Walla! NEWS that "the family intends to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights because during the course of the proceedings Naama's rights were materially violated."

According to him, "from the beginning of the proceeding she was not represented. Naama's attorneys proved during the trial that no offense was committed in Russia. She did not hold or smuggle the drug into Russian territory." Attorney Kolbanko added that "the court did not state its decision and thereby violated its fictional and constitutional rights in Russia."

Na'ma Issachar's mother, Yaffe, wrote in a post on social networks that her home wanted to file another appeal for her sentence. "She concluded that she wanted to appeal to a higher court. She would not believe this was her sentence and rightly so. We will not stop fighting for her release, nor will she."

The mother added: "She told me that while she was inside the glass compartment and her eyes intersected with everyone in the courtroom, foreign reporters, Israeli journalists, she felt their love. They smiled at her with warm, enlightening eyes and it provided her little comfort for the difficult moments of the aftermath."

The decision to continue the legal proceedings comes after the family and the Israeli young woman's defense team disappointedly accepted the Moscow court's decision to dismiss her appeal, leaving the punishment granted to her. "We are sorry and angry," her family said after the appeal. "Everyone saw the farce that went when an isolated Naama in a glass cell. Naama should not carry on her shoulders all the interests and disputes between Israel and Russia. We ask the Prime Minister to fulfill your pledge. Do not allow Putin to land in Israel for a state ceremony without returning home."
