A 17-person dolphin band was spotted this week in the Ashkelon coast. Inspectors from the Marine and Wildlife Authority went on a birding survey and noticed a band of two puppies playing in the waves near the city.

"This is a well-known band that is often viewed west of a security sea reserve," said marine unit inspector Guy Levian. He said the dolphin found is an endangered species. "The Israeli beaches have been defined by the IUCN as important to the dolphin found as well as the dolphin found," he explained.

The local population of our region has about 30-40 details that are sometimes seen between the coasts of Ashdod and Ashkelon. Most of the sightings were recorded at 30 meters from the beach. .
