(CNN) - A bank robbery in Colorado Springs had a Christmas twist.
Around noon on Monday, police said an older man threatened a bank using a gun.
But perhaps he took inspiration from another man with a white beard, a witness said.

"He robbed the bank, went out, and threw money everywhere," Dion Pascale told KKTV, a CNN affiliate. "He started throwing money out of the bag and then said: Merry Christmas!"
The spectators collected the scattered money and returned it to the bank teller while the suspect walked to the Starbucks next door and waited for the police, Pascale said.
The suspect, identified as David Wayne Oliver, was arrested in the cafe, police said. It is not clear if Oliver has representation.
Carma Hassan of CNN contributed to this report.
