Bus accident on Highway 40 near Ben Gurion Airport: While the bus driver, Alexander Leibman, was in custody on suspicion of causing negligence, police are appealing to passengers on request for assistance in investigating the incident. At the scene of the fatal accident, which took the lives of four people, there are no security cameras, making it difficult for police investigators to understand exactly what caused the horrific incident. In his investigation, the driver claimed he did not use his cellphone while traveling.
Among those killed in the serious accident - Joseph Kahalani, 79, of Petah Tikva, Haley Wernberg, 35, of Jerusalem, and Bertha Schwartz, 71, who came with her husband from Philadelphia to visit her family for the birth of a grandson.
