The products of the Arab Company for the manufacture of porcelain in Hama are gradually regaining their usual position in the market two years ago after resuming their production of various sanitary ware and bathroom sets and their constant and continuous endeavor to innovate and design modern items to keep pace with the reconstruction process in Syria.

Engineer Hamza Al-Muhammad, the general manager of the company, stated in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the company returned production during the second half of 2017 after stopping during previous years and was able to achieve profits of 50 million Syrian pounds and this is a positive indication of the start of the production process in the company with a correct approach and a steady pace stressing The company plans next year to increase production and achieve profits in excess of 225 million pounds.

Al-Muhammad indicated that the company resumed its production by operating an oven with a production capacity of 2500 tons of sanitary ware and made adjustments to some molds of bathroom and washroom sets, which received positive resonances in the market. He said that the company that started two years ago with 13 types, is currently producing 53 types that include a wide variety of laundries and chairs The French and Arabic baths are of a high quality and meet the requirements of the market.

Al-Muhammad revealed that work is underway with a private company to develop a porcelain and sanitary ware production line and operate the second furnace with the company and invest in multi-size and multi-purpose ceramic industry for the benefit of both parties and in line with the government's directives to support local production and keep pace with the reconstruction process.

For his part, Eng. Mahmoud Al-Sukhni, the technical and production manager of the company indicated that the company seeks to train and qualify new cadres besides conducting all maintenance for production lines and machines and securing all other raw materials, after the company stopped production between 2012 and 2017, pointing to the adoption of a system linking wages with production to ensure Good worker performance, stable production process, and a focus on the marketing and disposal of products for the public and private sectors.

The Arab Porcelain Industry Company is one of the most prominent and the only public sector companies of its kind in Syria for more than 25 years.
