The most significant rainfall was measured in the northern region, and at several stations in this area, the rainfall record was broken for one day. The last rainy day, from 8am yesterday to 8am today, was one of the most rainy ever since the survey began in the north of the country.
Up to now 80 to 150 mm of rain has fallen in the northern part of the country, with an extensive spread that includes the Upper and Lower Galilee, the Jezreel Valley, the Golan, the Hula Valley, the Sea of Galilee and the northern coastal plain. In contrast, so far in the southern and eastern regions, much smaller quantities have reached a few millimeters.

The heavy rainfall has reduced the deficit so far, and in some areas even erased. At several stations in the north of Israel, records have broken - in Safed Mount Canaan the last day has dropped 126 mm, a peak since 1939 when the previous peak from January 1969 was 121 mm. In the Neve Forest in the northwest of the Jezreel Valley fell 109 mm, with the previous peak of January 1990 at 91 mm.
The night will continue to rain for episodes north and center, accompanied by several thunderstorms and wide winds. Local rain is expected in the northern Negev and in Hermon it will continue to snow. In the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea, there is still a fear of flooding and there may be flooding on the coastal plain as well.

Tomorrow, rain will fall to episodes accompanied by thunderstorms, from the north of the country to the northern Negev, and there will be a fear of flooding in the eastern streams and fears of flooding on the coastal plain. A young Wadi Salameh died of hypothermia, searching for a missing boy

Majed Anan, married and father of a 27-year-old daughter, left his house to close a goat - and did not return. His family members announced his absence.
