After almost December of summer, winter has arrived - and most importantly: heavy rains have been recorded throughout the night (Thursday) all over Israel, and snow has begun to fall in Hermon. So far, about 20 inches of snow has piled up on the lower level of the mountain, and about 40 inches on the upper level, and due to inclement weather the site has been closed to visitors.
Elsewhere in the country the weather was stormy, and although it did not snow, a large amount of rainfall fell in the north and in the center. In the last 24 hours, Kibbutz Maalot recorded rainfall of 140 mm, Kibbutz Elrom - 119, Ortal - 110, and Acre - 75.

In the coastal area of Haifa - 62, in Zichron Yaacov - 43, in Sharon 43, in Tel Aviv - 13, in Bat Yam / Holon - 8, and in Jerusalem, only two millimeters of rain have so far. Kibbutz Merom Golan recorded a rainfall of 143 millimeters in the last day.

Predicted temperatures in selected cities across the country:
Haifa: 15-11 degrees, Tel Aviv: 16-13, Jerusalem: 10-8, Beer Sheva: 17-10 and Eilat: 22-14 degrees. Rainfall followed by lightning storms descended from the north of the country to the northern Negev, and in the south would be your father. Tomorrow the stormy and rainy weather will continue, but by noon the rains will gradually weaken.
